ELISA FRALEYLCSWElisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been with Family Counseling Associates for eleven years. Prior to private practice, she worked in community mental health helping to empower individual and family strengths in order to achieve improvements in behavior, relationships and emotional well-being. She became a social worker because she has a natural propensity to talk to people therapeutically, and she enjoys guiding people to make positive changes in their lives.
Elisa received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Florida and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University. She was licensed as a psychotherapist in 1997. Elisa has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked with a diverse population within her career.
Elisa’s provides psychotherapy to latency aged children (9-12), adolescents and adults, including geriatrics. Since the beginning of Elisa’s career, she has specialized in ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and other behavioral related issues. In 2005, when Elisa joined Family Counseling Associates, she began working with children, adolescents and adults, specializing in Eating Disorders. Elisa is involved with The Alliance for Eating Disorders where she continues to expand her knowledge of eating disorders, by attending ongoing seminars given by them. Elisa’s other specialties include, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Marital/Relationship issues, Divorce and Blended Families.
Modalities include individual, family, couples/marital and group therapy. Elisa’s treatment orientation is mostly Cognitive/Behavioral, where the focus is working toward a shift in thinking, however, depending on the issues being addressed, other treatment approaches are provided.
